 What are the ingredients of Adya Clarity?Adya Clarity is a concentrated solution of purified water and ionic sulfate mineral salts extracted from biotite, one of Earth’s most abundant minerals sources. Minerals contained in biotite are: Iron, Magnesium, Calcium, Manganese, Phosphorus, Sodium, Potassium, and Zinc.Additionally, Adya Clarity contains trace amounts of the following minerals: aluminum, barium, cerium, chromium, cobalt, copper, germanium, lanthanum, lithium, molybdenum, nickel, rubidium, scandium, selenium, silicon, strontium, sulfur, titanium, tungsten, vanadium, yttrium, zirconium. As a natural substance the mineral composition can vary slightly.

Adya’s proprietary extraction method allows full availability of these earth-harvested elements.

How does Adya Clarity purify water, specifically?

Adya Clarity purifies water in a 4-step process:

  1. Flocculation: When added to water, Adya Clarity causes dissolved, invisible contaminants to come out of suspension.
  2. Coagulation: Next, the contaminants are neutralized as they clump together and become insoluble.
  3. Precipitation: Once coagulated, the insoluble, neutralized contaminants solidify as they precipitate out of solution.
  4. Deposition: The precipitates settle and are deposited as sediment at the bottom of your water container.

How much Adya Clarity is needed to effectively purify water?

The amount of Adya Clarity needed to purify water depends on the quality of water being treated. Water quality depends on how many contaminants, such as bacteria and carbon wastes, are in the water. When treating municipal water the typical dilution rate for Adya Clarity is 1:1000; 1 tsp. treats 1.3 gallons of water. This rate also applies for similar fresh water sources such well or spring water. If the water source is believed to be extremely contaminated by known or unknown toxic substances, proper laboratory analysis will be required in order to give accurate dilution rates.

Does Adya Clarity need to be used with a water filtration system?

Though we highly recommend using the Adya Water Filtration System combined with Adya Clarity for best results, it is not required.

The Adya Water Filtration System is especially helpful in removing inert precipitates in water treated with Adya Clarity. The system has a .02 micron ceramic filter and a multi-level earth filter which contains activated carbon and zeolites.

Why does my water turn cloudy after adding Adya Clarity to it?

The cloudiness that often occurs when Adya Clarity is added to water is caused by the flocculation process, which causes dissolved contaminants to come out of solution.

If I use Adya Clarity without a filtration system, how long do I need to wait before I can drink my water?

After adding Adya Clarity to water you may notice the water has a cloudy appearance. This is a normal reaction caused by the flocculation process (as stated above). The water is safe to drink, but may look unpleasant. Depending upon the quality of your water, you may wait 24-48 hours for precipitates to settle to the bottom of your water container. Then, simply pour the clear, top portion of water into another container for drinking use and discard the bottom, precipitated portion.
